Fairfax has other New Zealand media sites well stuffed
Media site beater Stuff - with 52% of adult New Zealanders visiting per month

Fairfax’s Stuff web site is the most used media one in New Zealand.

 

A July-August 2011 nationwide HorizonPoll finds Stuff is being visited each month by 52% of New Zealanders aged 18 plus.

 

This indicates it is attracting an audience of about 1.66 million adult New Zealanders who say they have visited in the past 30 days.

 

Its rating has lifted 11% on one in August 2010.

 

It is followed by the TVNZ web site (48.5%) and The Herald online (43.9%). The Herald is up from 38% the year before.

 

Scoop has 11.2%

 

Radio New Zealand’s web site ranks fourth among media ones with 12.9%.

NewstalkZB’s site has 7.9%, just head of RadioLIVE’s with 6.9%.

 

Other news sites attract 29.4%.

 

Overall, Google at 89.5% is the most visited web site in New Zealand, followed by Trade Me (79%, down from 83% last year) and online banking sites (71.3%).

The survey covers 967 New Zealanders aged 18+. It was conducted between July and August, 2011. Results are weighted by age, gender, ethnicity, personal income, employment status and party vote 2008 to provide a representative sample of the New Zealand population. The maximum margin of error is +/- 3.2%.
